Methodology
Clear populations. Explicit missingness. Reproducible calculations.
Research you can trace back to a game.
LoL Data keeps game results, series context, player participation, and source revisions separate. The interface reports the population for each metric and leaves unavailable observations blank.
Metric catalog v1.0.0Game win rate
%Completed games won divided by games with an observed result, for the selected team or champion. Series wins use a separate denominator.
Series win rate
%Verified completed series won divided by verified completed series played. Unknown or incomplete formats are excluded.
Game duration
minutesObserved game length in seconds, divided by 60. Median and quantiles use linear interpolation over sorted observations.
Total kills
kills / gameSum of the two observed team kill totals in one game. Both team totals must be available.
Gold difference @15
goldSelected team’s gold minus the opponent’s gold at the 15-minute checkpoint, exactly as supplied by the source.
Aggregate KDA
ratioSum of kills and assists divided by max(1, sum of deaths) over complete observed K/D/A rows.
Damage per minute
damage / minuteTotal observed champion damage divided by total game minutes across the same complete rows; weighted by duration.
CS per minute
CS / minuteTotal observed creep score divided by total game minutes across complete rows.
Champion presence
%Unique games in which a champion was picked or banned, divided by all selected completed games. Ban coverage is reported separately.
Threshold frequency
%Observed games strictly above the selected threshold divided by games with that metric. The descriptive interval is a 95% Wilson score interval.
Lineup cohorts
playersSame five matches the latest observed five in the archive at or before the selected end date. Core four requires at least four of those players. Organization history includes every lineup.
Three different clocks
- Event time
- When the source says the game happened.
- Provider publication time
- When the source explicitly published the information. Not supplied by this archive.
- First observed time
- When this application first imported the record.
A game from 2015 imported in 2026 does not prove what was known before it happened. This release supports retrospective analysis only.
